Top Menu
Navigation through the Places Of Worship website is primarily from the menus at the top of the web page. This same menu appears on every page in the website.
Gallery Navigation
Navigation through the galleries is slightly different between the pages of thumbnails for Images Only and the pages for Finding Profile Information
Images Only menu choice
When the page is opened all thumbnails for that province will be shown.
Above the thumbnails, you will see a list of faith abbreviations and a count of images found for each; note:
> Only faiths with at least one image are shown;
> By clicking on one or more faith abbreviations only the thumbnail mages just for those faiths will be shown;
> By clicking on ALL FAITHS the previous selection will be cleared.
When you click on the thumbnail
A page without any headings will open and contain a full sized image.
Symbols for further navigation are in the top right corner :
> Click on the Corner Brackets to go to a full screen;
> Click on the ESC key on your keyboard to comeback to the image holder page;
> Click on the the i to turn on or off the caption on the bottom of the image;
> Only click on the X Out to return to the thumbnail gallery;
Note that the browser back arrow will not get you back to the gallery of thumbnails
Finding Profile Information menu choice

Above the thumbnails you will see several levels of selection;
> The levels cover Geographic area, Faith and Status values;
> Each level can be used to narrow the search;
> Click on ALL XYZ.. to clear the previous selection for that level.
A note on PARTICULAR STATUS: this is tagged only when we know that the location has a special situation including heritage designation, closed, demolished. The same applies to PREVIOUS FAITH where we know that the building was used by another faith previous to the current congregation.

Use the X out to return to the thumbnail gallery
Website Navigation Limitations
This website was constructed in WordPress using software plugins called Geodirectory and FooGallery. This seemed to be a best fit after trying out a variety of other Photo Gallery and Geo-mapping products. However both components have their way of displaying and navigating the details. Our experience is that you will son become familiar with the navigation.
